We maximise the efficiency of Building & Environment Management System (BEMS) controls by gaining a better understanding of how your Heating Venitlation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) plant responds to control, and how heat flows in your particular buildings. This allows us to re-define best practice for control configuration in the true context of your properties. As a result we reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs.

Naturally there are the associated benefits of a reduction in carbon and other pollutant emissions. Using proven methods we help industry and commerce to keep down costs, substantially reduce energy consumption and thereby help the planet.

Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers

According to CIBSE, 90% of heating and ventilation control systems in buildings are inadequate, a fact that it is estimated costs British business over £500 million a year.

We live by the maxim

"You can't manage what you can't measure."

We have developed a more effective measurement tool and diagnostic techniques so that you are better able to manage your energy efficiency.

To find out how you might be able to achieve substantial energy savings on your buildings without reducing service levels please browse our website and if you have any specific questions please email us at info@efficientcontrol.com

So where is the problem? The reality of most BEMS control strategies is that they are set up for the delivery of “adequate” building services, not energy efficiency – these two objectives are not mutually exclusive and should not be treated as such.

There are two ways of combating this waste. You can either tackle the symptoms, for example, by ensuring that your lights and computer terminals etc. are turned off when not in use. Or you can go right to the cause of the waste and focus on probably your single greatest consumer of energy, your HVAC system. This is where, in the vast majority of cases, we identify the greatest energy saving opportunities.

We do this through our unique method of auditing heat demand, matching control performance to it and then defining and implementing advanced control systems to optimise building energy efficiency. This approach has already saved over 50% in fuel bills in some buildings, without any loss of any building services.
