What is your USP?
We believe we have a unique methodology for interpreting building performance data and from it reverse engineering control strategy and its inadequacies, which means that we are able to optimise the efficiency of large heating ventilation and cooling systems. This means that our clients are able to benefit form lower energy costs and at the same time reduce their C02 emissions.

Is there any risk associated with the application of your technology?
faqs In short no! Our techniques are able to ensure that building services (heating, cooling and DHW) are delivered to the standards that you require. We do not normally make any changes to the controls equipment or plant hardware so our work is non invasive on your system (it is the software that is changed), in fact by improving plant performance there should be a positive effect on the plant maintenance regime.

Do you provide products or services?
Services – Our goal is to form a relationship with a client giving them practical non-partisan and site-specific detailed advice on how to control their buildings most effectively

Will the energy savings have any effect on my ability to provide building services?
No, not at all, we ensure that in every case we are able to deliver savings without affecting the quality of building services.

Who uses AEC?
Many organisations including Local Authorities, Energy Consultancies, Controls Manufacturers and commercial companies, large and small. Please take a look at our case histories.

Can you tailor your service to my organisation?
Yes – every client has different needs, some at a high level involving policy advice, and others regarding day to day operational concerns. Contact Us and we will visit on a no commitment basis to find out how we can help you.

Do you guarantee savings?
Generally no, because we cannot control external factors that effect how our recommendations are implemented e.g. plant can fail, weather can change, and building use can change. However, we can give a very good indication of the likely savings available in any situation. If a guarantee is important to you we can discuss the issue.

What savings do you generally achieve?
On occasions we have been unable to identify significant saving potential. However on average in over 90% of sites we identify in excess of 20% of fuel saving potential, without impacting service standards. Our best cases exceed 50% savings over the course of a year.

What is my expected ROI on your service?
In simple payback terms, where our recommendations have been implemented paybacks have ranged from six weeks to four years. Typical payback is under one year and this is our target in most situations.

What is Best Practice?
We define Best Practice as the control strategy, which meets the requirements of building users at minimum cost and hence minimum environmental impact. Because Energy Efficiency Best Practice Guidelines are not universally applicable this definition makes Best Practice specific to a building and its use .
